Google is unhappy with the version 3.0 official YouTube app for Windows Phone which was released last week. Google reportedly sent Microsoft a cease and desist letter today, which The Verge has reported, the lack of ads on the YouTube app for Windows Phone seems to be the primary complaint.

Google updated its YouTube app for iOS on Monday, adding a new features like live streaming and the ability to queue videos for TV playback.
According to the update notes listed in the App Store, version 1.3 brings these new features:
Quick access to new uploads for subscriptions via “My Subscriptions” feed on the Guide.
Access to Live streams.

YouTube plans to launch paid subscriptions If the rumours are true, according to a report in AdAge, the Google owned website is asking media companies with large YouTube followings— like Machinima, Maker Studios and Fullscreen — to submit ideas for paid channels that would cost “somewhere between $1 and $5 a month.”

Gangnam Style, the most-watched YouTube video ever, with more than one billion views, by K-pop sensation Psy has generated $8 million revenue on YouTube alone, said Google chief business officer Nikesh Arora during the company’s fourth quarter earnings call.

YouTube has updated the YouTube app for iOS on Tuesday with support for the iPhone 5′s display, along with the ability to stream videos over AirPlay to the Apple TV or other enabled devices more easily.

Google on Monday announced integration for YouTube that allows YouTube user to link their YouTube channel with a Google+ profile while retaining the channel name.
