In life there comes a time when you just got to let go of something that defined a generation. Today we say good bye to Pirate Bay. At 9:30am PT or 1:30 BST Pirate Bay’s plug was pulled by (one of) its ISP – Black Internet, who likely feared the court order, which would have fined them some $70,000 if they had not done so.

Being hit by the crisis, the largest supplier of PC’s in the world, Hewlett-Packard (HP), declared a 19 percent drop in profit for the third quarter of 2009. Canadian firm ‘i4i Ltd.’ won a case against Microsoft in the US District Court 60 days ago, claiming Microsoft knowingly use XML technology infringing a 1998 patent owned by i4i.

Publicis Groupe is a French advertising group and one of the largest media companies, with over 44,000 employees. The company has recently agreed to buy Razorfish from Microsoft for $530 million.
