From today, the notion of real time web is not longer a myth! This idea, the idea of searching the web in real time, was almost unimaginable. Although web spiders (like the GoogleBot), spiders that crawl the web and index web pages at amazing speeds, are a thing of the present, the concept of real time web is still not understood as it should. Well, because of our bellowed Twitter, things are not in [...]

If you have heard the buzz, Motorola is rumored to work on an unannounced smartphone. This interesting device should come out somewhere between late October and early December. Specs include a very potent OMAP3430 processor, which is, I might add, very powerful! Other features are a 5 megapixel camera (a very good choice), a slideout QWERTY keyboard , and, of course, the stylish touchscreen. The new [...]

A few months ago, my laptop started to behave strange. It did not start properly and, even if it would start, it was very slow and crashed frequently. My resolution was always the smallest available. In a word, my laptop broke down. I think it was the motherboard. I have used it for quite some years and I felt bad about it. But what could I do? I [...]

Google and Verizon Wireless stated that their recent Android partnership will start showing some results in a few weeks. It also looks like the wireless carrier’s cellphones will run Google Voice. This really differentiates then from the iPhone. And these aren’t just words. According to Lowell McAdam, Verizon Wireless’s chief executive, the first two phones running Android will be ready this [...]

Anyone who uses a Twitter application on the iPhone has no doubt been “my app’s better than yours” debate at some point. I know I’ve been there a few times. There’s a whole bunch of them out there, and to be perfectly honest they all do pretty much the same thing, just in slightly different ways.
Well we think Tweetie 2 is about to change all that. We’ve been fortunate [...]

Joey Wilson and Neal Patwari have discovered a cheap way of looking through walls. I think this is everyone’s dream. If you are under 14 years old, you simply need to know where mommy keeps your sweets. If you are over 14 and under 20, you should be very curious what other people are doing. If you are over 20, you should wonder how this works; how can you see through walls by using a simple modded [...]

This is one of the best news of 2009 for tech-savvy people all over the globe. A quad-core processor at $99, this is unbelievable! Advanced Micro Devices announced two chips: Athlon II X4 620 and Athlon II X4 630. The CPUs have 2MB L2 (level two) [...]

At around 12 o’clock (GMT) last night, twitter went down for a while showing up all sorts of errors, I’m not too sure what the issue was but there wasn’t even a fail whale, 403 & 504 errors showing up. When it came back online thousands of profile pictures were missing.
It seems the past few days have proved problematic for twitter, yesterday they found a bug that wouldn’t [...]

It looks like Intel’s global share of the CPU market is on the rise. According to iSuppli, a market researcher, Intel’s control of the CPU market during Q2 of 2009 has reached a four-year high. “Intel benefited as the global PC market took a first small step toward recovery in the second quarter, with global shipments rising by 1 percent from the first quarter” [...]

This is a very unlucky year for Dell, as they have to pay over $4 million due to their frauds, deceptive business practices, and false advertising. In 2007, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo filed a suit, accusing Dell of all the above mentioned. It looks like Dell offered misleading financing and was even involved in “abusive debt collection practices.” Further more, Dell did not honor [...]
