Surprise, Huawei had the third largest market share in the global smartphone industry in the fourth quarter. Samsung bought more mobile chips than any other company in 2012, according to new data from Gartner. Samsung and Apple  ordered $45.3 billion worth of semiconductors in 2012 which according to Gartner is  up $7.9 billion from 2012. Out of  123.3 million people in the U.S. using smartphones in November 2012, 53.7% people used Android according to a study by ComScore,  26.9% of them are using Samsung devices.
