Yesterday in a warm Thistle Hotel in the West End of rainy London, team mashup* presented the Social Media ’09 conference.

140conf is fast approaching. In less than two weeks time, London‘s o2 Indigo will be hosting the biggest Twitter get-together in the UK.
The original scope of #140conf was to explore “the effects of twitter on: Celebrity, “The Media”, Advertising and (maybe) Politics.” Over time the scope expanded to look at the effects of twitter on topics ranging from public safety to public diplomacy.

This year’s Affiliate Marketing Conference and Exhibition was so well organised and produced, if you didn’t attend you’ll have to take my word that a4uexpo 20009 was one of the best events I’ve ever attended.
Set in the ExCeL, which is a brilliant venue (FOWA was hosted here during 2007/8), the event covered several floors. There was the expo area, and 3 large conference rooms. [...]

A couple of weeks ago, the largest 3G wireless operator in USA, Verizon, announced the launch of a new app store: the Widget Bazaar. This storefront is aimed at providing new widgets and applications for its Fios TV clients. This is typical, she’s clearly a paid hot model, with no idea about comics/sci-fi, and she has absoluteley no idea what character she is! To be honest neither do I but that’s not the point she’s supposed to sell it to me. Bad form @Paramount teach ‘em who they’re supposed to be.
