Android Accounts For 65% Of Last Quarter Smartphone Sales, Windows Score With First Time Smartphone Users Android and iOS lead the chart and Windows follows at a predictable number three according to Kantar’s WorldPanel Comtech report for Q2 2003, Samsung retains its position of top Android device, it accounted for 65 percent of all smartphone sales in the top smartphone markets in the world (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, USA, Australia, China, Mexico)

iPhone Sales presented a mixed picture, its selling robustly in some countries and not so well in others. Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS, mainly Nokia devices are improving, it has doubled its share in the last year to 8.2 percent of sales.

 

42 percent of Windows Phone  sales are coming from those making their first moves off feature phones while Android and Apple’s iOS platform picked up a lot of speed by tapping smartphone users from Symbian and BlackBerry.Entry level Windows phone  like the Lumia 520 now represents around one in 10 smartphone sales in Britain, France, Germany and Mexico.
