After debuting Microsoft Office mobile on iPhone in June, six weeks later Microsoft is launching Microsoft Office Mobile for Android phone running 4.0 or higher. Microsoft is in no mood for an Android tablet version of the app is clear from it’s recommendation to the users to  use of the Office Web Apps on Android tablets.

Office Mobile on Android is almost identical to it’s iPhone variant. It allows for the viewing of documents created on other devices, synchronized through the SkyDrive cloud storage. Though it allows for the creation of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents, the small screen size really makes the app intended more for viewing than making.
