Evernote has released a new version for its app for iPad and iPhone which adds shortcuts to notes, tags, files and more, related notes for premium users, and support for Skitch app to add images to the notes.

“For the latest Evernote for iPhone and iPad update (5.4), we’re adding features that will help you rediscover your notes, jump to the content that’s important to you, easily annotate just about anything in your account, and learn helpful tips. Let’s take a look.” the company announced in a blog post.

Evernote earlier introduced Shortcuts to its app for Android, Shortcuts  will ease finding important notes, notebooks and tags by adding shortcuts to these with a single tap.  This will also allow syncing of new Shortcuts that one has created on their iOS devices to other platforms as well. Moreover, one can now also add shortcuts to saved searches. The app will now also display the recently viewed notes at the bottom of an open note to let the user juggle between notes with a simple tap.
