iOS dwarfs Android and Linux in usage share

//

According to a study carried out by  Net Applications last month, iOS (devices running iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) is the third most popular platform on the Internet – Microsoft Windows and Apple’s OS X occupy the top two positions –   with a 1.13% market share, way ahead of  Android’s 0.20% market share and Linux’s  0.85% user share.

“It’s something to take note of when a mobile operating system passes something that’s been around forever. Mobile’s growth curve is strong and mobile is becoming quite a phenomenon on the Internet.”  Net Applications VP Vince Vizzaccaro.
