BlackBerry’s app store BlackBerry App World 2.0 launched

Blackberry App World

BlackBerry maker Research In Motion(RIM) announced  that BlackBerry App World is now available for all BlackBerry owners and is no longer in beta version.

Blackberry app developers could offer apps for $0.99 and $1.99, the payment options are either credit card or  carrier billing. User’s BlackBerry ID can be used to manage account information across multiple devices, the navigation has been improved considerably with new tabbed sections and the capability to quickly view the Top 25, Newest, and Recently Updated Apps.

Research In Motion’s  revenue share split for the developers is trimmed to  70/30 percent from the earlier 80/20  which is similar to Apple and Android’s 70/30 percent revenue split, but we doubt BlackBerry app developers are pleased about the change.
