Nokia’s Ansii Vanjokki says Nokia will be back

Ansii Vanjokki, Nokia’s new chief of Mobile Solutions  candidly wrote on Nokia Conversations that Nokia is “under no illusions” that the job to ensure Nokia occupies its premier position in the future is no small task. He has promised that Nokia is on its way to simplify the way it functions and the results would be seen in the months to come. This comes on the heels of Ricky Cadden  shutting  down Symbian-Guru because he had  lost faith with the Finnish company.

Ansii Vanjokki also asserts some known facts, such as the capability of Nokia and its R&D team as well as its ability ‘to produce killer smartphones and market-changing mobile computers’. Vanjokki confirms that the N8 will be the last handset to run  Symbian  3 handset in the N-Series. Symbian is apparently still Nokia’s smartphone OS of choice (sorry Android).

Nokia has, in the past, remained  silent to criticism apparently that has changed and looks like the management there has now become a little more receptive to suggestions by hardcore Symbian and Nokia users. If this trend continues and Nokia does manage to bring compelling new devices in the future, there is high chance that it could regain its lost glory very soon.
