Fring

Apple has approved the new Fring app for iOS4. In the new release, Fring has enabled cross platform video chatting that allow users to conduct two-way video conversations between smartphones with front facing cameras, that means you can have a video call between an iPhone 4 and an EVO 4G or a  Nokia  N 97.  No one was  sure whether Apple was going to approve third-party video calling apps using the front camera on the iPhone 4.  Fring just slid in a new version of its longstanding iPhone app today featuring support for video calling which  works just fine over 3G.

The iPhone app makes optimum use of iOS4’s multitasking ability, so you can be always on and available with fring running in the background and alerting you to new chat or calls without proactively opening fring. The new Social Stream feature, provides  a chronological stream of all tweets, facebook updates, chats and calls, all in one place! Easy cross-community communication and simple sorting capabilities.
