Huddle gets $10.2 Million

British web start-up Huddle, which is a  web-based team collaboration and project management tool  announced a $10.2 million second round of funding, Huddle has now raised more than $15 million in  total. The funds will help the company stay competitive in the crowded collaboration market which is dominated by Box.com.

With focus on US expansion it opened up an office in San Francisco with  co-founder and vice president of global strategy, Andy McLoughlin,  relocating from the company’s London headquarters to San Francisco, with plans to build up the company’s sales and marketing presence there. More than 50 percent of Huddle’s users are from US, but McLoughlin said there’s still a huge opportunity for expansion. “Huddle makes it possible for people to connect and work with each other regardless of their location. However, for us as a company it’s crucial to be closer to the people who use our product.” he added.
