The Apple  iPad users in UK and other countries who have got the device from US -as its not internationally available until May 28 –  had no options for buying apps directly through the device from Apple iTunes store, and this was one of the more frustrating aspects of owning an iPad outside the US.  This  inability to access the App Store on device is now a thing of the past with Apple opening the iPad section of the iTunes app store for business outside the US.

The access to the iPad section is now unrestricted, Apple’s  iWork suite apps and  iBooks app still aren’t available in the UK store,  other available iPad apps include newspaper apps for WSJ, Financial Times and USA Today. iPad Apps for UK store  are not categorized in a  seprerate  iPad section, so it requires a bit of search to find out the apps which work on iPad.

Its a good move by Apple to open the International iPad app store before the  iPad device launch in UK on May 28,2010, Sporkings  definitely will be observing and reporting on the UK iPad launch at the Apple Store on London’s Regent Street next week.
