Google Nexus One lands in UK

Blackberries, iPhones and others make way – Nexus One is here (finally!). Google’s  super phone  –  Nexus One is finally made available  in the UK through Vodafone, as long as customers decide to tie themselves down to a contract for the next couple of years with Vodafone. It is on sale from today.

This makes Vodafone UK the first European mobile operator to release the Google Nexus One, and customers  who place a pre-order online will get a Nexus One for free, albeit having to agree to a £35 monthly price plan for 24 months from tomorrow onwards.

It comes with a 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen, a 5 mega pixel camera and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Aside from the impressive hardware, the handset also packs the latest Android operating system along with a few extra features.The phone  also comes with an advanced voice recognition system that uses a unique voice filtering technology.

Being an Android handset, the Nexus One will also be getting the newly launched Google Maps sat nav application in order to turn the device from a phone to a GPS tool for your car.
