Tinychat – A New Look, A New Facebook Connect, A Lot More Popular

TinyChat adds video

We all know Tinychat. It started like a very simple IRC-style chatroom app and it complemented conversations on Twitter. However, Tinychat is growing fast! It is now a powerful browser-based communications platform. This platform is rivaling some very large tools built by corporations or venture-backed start-ups.  A very good result, I might add! As things and trends change, so does Tinychat.

The platform has just received a more slick design. You will find Tinychat to be much more inviting now. You can also enter any conversation room and talk to multiple people (by using video, text, audio, or any combination of them) by connecting to your Facebook and/or Twitter account. There is no need to register, simply use Tinychat.

“I think this service is awesome, and I consider it to be closest to being the “Skype for the web” (which someday, Skype will introduce, let there be no doubt) than anything else I’ve tried in the past. You go to the Tinychat website, pick a name for your conversation room at hand and bang, you get an instantly shareable, dedicated web-based chat location where you can initiate video or audio chats with decent quality, share your desktop view with others and soon also a way to exchange files from computer to computer.” – Techcrunch
