Zune HD Unboxing

Tuesday was Microsoft Zune HD’s first day on the market and, of course, the HD music and video player drew a lot of attention to itself. Reviews started to appear right away. Many people really loved Zune’s slick interface and crisp display, while others were disappointed by its incompatibility with some platforms, its lack of applications, and its limited storage. However, most people were pleased with the brand new Zune HD, and the 720p HD output with advanced graphics abilities amazed many of them.

“Microsoft did an outstanding job with this media device! The device is extremely light and very well built. Battery life is great as well” – nighthawkn117, Amazon member. He also said that he found the interface superior the Apple’s iPod Touch. “Could this device take significant market share from Apple’s iPod Touch? Yes, it can!” – T.Nield, Amazon member. This is our opinion as well – Zune HD has very good chances of taking a good market share.

However, not all reviews are this positive. “I suppose Microsoft finds it more important to try to force me to downgrade to Vista 64 instead of making me a happy customer,” wrote D. Frischling when he found out that Zune’s software does not run on Windows XP 64-bit edition. “If you like apps, then stay away from Zune HD,” was the review from Gadgetzrock. Bottom line, 65% of the people rated Zune 5/5 stars, while just 10% rated it 1/5 stars.
