It looks like Microsoft are preparing some goodies for its users. The next Windows operating system will not only boost users’ overall experience, but also hardware performance. This sounds like good news for all Windows users! It looks like chipsets from Intel, Nvidia, and Advanced Micro Devices will perform better with MS Windows 7.

For now, Microsoft is working closely with Intel. It looks like their chipsets will power most of the computers running Windows. The new technology relies on doubling the cores. Processors with one core will be seen as having two cores, and so on. This will improve the multitasking capabilities of Windows, leading to an improvement in performance.

The new Windows will also boost graphics with DirectX 11. This is the most anticipated technology, so Windows users will be thrilled. The operating system will use GPGPU (general-purpose graphics processing unit). “What that essentially means to consumers is, if your laptop has an Nvidia GPU or ATI GPU, it will run the operating system faster because the operating system will essentially see two processors in the system. For the first time, the operating system is going to see the GPU both as a graphics chip and as a compute engine,” – Sumit Gupta, product manager for Nvidia’s Tesla products.

There are many new technologies that will be implemented in Microsoft Windows 7, but the ones above are the best. The operating system has general retail availability set for October 22, 2009. Until then, we can only wait!
