Who’s not on Twitter these days? Apparently Google wasn’t, they launched on Thursday with their first tweet: “I’m 01100110 01100101 01100101 01101100 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01101100 01110101 01100011 01101011 01111001 00001010” which is binary for “I’m feeling lucky” classic! There’s speculation around the interweb about whether this is Google testing out Twitter for a soon-to-come purchase, we don’t think this going to happen just yet.

What we would like to see is Google and Twitters api merge so something lovely like this would happen Tweet: “Search @google what’s the meaning of life?” Google then responds with a reply to or direct message maybe with an answer “42” or a lovely Google search result Probably not the easiest way to search, but definitely fun.

Whatever Google have planned for Twitter, I’m sure it’s going to be interesting.
