Ping
Apple’s Ping music social network had a rocky start, it was hit with spam comments, saw Facebook withdrawing ‘Facebook Connect’ and is plagued with international availability issues, despite these issues it surpassed the 1 million user milestone in few days after launch.

Facebook Connect
Facebook has reportedly pulled the plug on using the ‘Facebook Connect’ on iTunes Ping by turning off Apple’s access to its Facebook Connect API, as an agreement between Apple and Facebook couldn’t be reached, prompting Facebook to cut off access. Apple subsequently removed the feature from its service.

Apple TV
Couple of months ago, rumors mills were buzzing with the news that Apple TV is getting a makeover which reportedly included iOS 4, Apple’s A4 chip, 1080 px playback, 16GB of storage with a US $99 price label. All of the above features except a 1080 px playback is reportedly confirmed by the same source who had earlier let the cat out of the bag.

Apple’s App Store just opened up a “Try Before You Buy” to lets users test drive a limited selection of apps before buying them.
