Twitter Releases New Cards With ‘Mobile App Deep-linking’

Twitter Releases New Cards With 'Mobile App Deep-linking'Twitter came out with a new functionality on Tuesday which is meant to help mobile app developers make money, the new feature last night called “Cards” lets developers to display photos, app information and products for sale in a more visual, prominent manner.

Twitter provided additional details in a blog post about the new features.  The “Deep-Linking” feature allows any card to contain a link not to a website, but directly to the content within the app itself.
“With mobile app deep-linking, users will be able to tap a link to either view content directly in your app, or download your app, depending on whether or not they have your app installed.” said Twitter’s Jason Costa.
The new Cards could not only allow app developers to better reach potential users but would also allow those users to view and interact with content outside of Twitter. Users could comment on a photo, listen to a song, or directly view a product within an online marketplace’s application.
