Samsung is going bigger than the 5.55-inch Galaxy Note II for folks who may think that Galaxy Note is not a big enough phablet with two new smartphones with 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch screens. The two phones will be called the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3.
The 6.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Mega is a cheaper alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, even though the price is not published it’s evident from the handset’s specifications, which includes only a dual-core 1.7 GHz processor and 1.5 GB RAM while currently quad-core processor is standard for phone this big, it carries a larger, 3,200 mAh battery, 8-megapixel camera, and 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, along with microSD support up to 64GB.
The 5.8-inch model has a qHD display with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal storag eand 1.5GB of RAM. It will carry a 2,600 mAh battery.
Both the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be available in Europe from May, although there’s no word on pricing or release date yet.
