Microsoft unveils the customer preview of the new Microsoft Office, Office 2013 and Office 365

Microsoft released the customer preview of the new Microsoft Office,  Office 2013 and Office 365. The next release features an intuitive design that works with touch, stylus, mouse or keyboard across new Windows devices, including tablets.

You could get  your hands on the customer preview at office.com/preview , the newest version gives more prominence to cloud computing and is designed for use with the upcoming Windows 8 operating system with design elements from Windows 8 Metro Interface.

“The Office that we’ll talk about and show you today is the first round of Office that’s designed from the get-go to be a service,” Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said at a news conference. “This is the most ambitious release of Microsoft Office that we’ve ever done.”

The latest Office suite has a subscription-based cloud service too. Along with the one-time fee for the right to use Office forever on a single PC, the revamped Office 365 lets you pay monthly. Office 365 will allow you to purchase a subscription to the Office 2013 desktop applications as well. And if you buy Office 365, you’ll be able to download the desktop software onto multiple devices.
