PayPal launches developer library for Mobile OS Android

Paypal, the electronic money transferring service which had recently launched Mobile Payments Library for iPhone has now extended it toGoogle’s Mobile OS Android, the Library lets apps developers add checkout functionality for physical goods and services to their apps online.

eBay, which owns  Paypal  has also introduced a PayPal X Toolkit for Google App Engine, a platform for developing and running Web applications and services on the search engine outfit’s cloud. The spurt in launches for android is not surprising as it was reported by Sporkings recently Android devices  had surpassed iPhone sales for the first time in first quarter of 2010 as smartphone sales to end users reached 54.3 million units, an increase of 48.7 per cent from the first quarter of 2009.
