O2 has recently announced its range of new budget-minded mobile and broadband tariff plans. The highlight of the O2 announcement is the new ‘Sim only’ plan for iPhone users which includes Visual Voicemail, unlimited text messages, data and Wi-Fi at just £15 per month for a year.

If you are prepared to spend £20 per month, you can get this deal on a rolling monthly basis and there’s no obligation to sign up for the full year. There’s also a new tariff plan which offers unlimited calls, text and data within UK for £45 per month.

For iPhone users who are keen to use their phone as a modem, there’s the option to use the O2 ‘Internet Tethering Bolt On’ option. If you do not have a smartphone, don’t worry, there’s good news for you as well. You can choose from a range of sim only tariffs starting at just £10 for 100 minutes per month with unlimited texts on a 30-day contract. There’s also an option to get unlimited UK calls and text at £40 a month.

Clearly, O2’s latest tariff plans are aimed at wooing the low budget customers and offer a unique proposition for customers to lower their monthly mobile usage cost.
