And those developers that do stick around long enough to become experienced are less mobile due to the fewer positions open to them than a similarly experienced developer in a non-games field. Part of the problem is that graduates are so keen to enter in to the industry, that they are willing to accept lower salaries. And those developers that do stick around long enough to become experienced are less mobile due to the fewer positions open to them than a similarly experienced developer in a non-games field.
