Craig “Lazie” Lynch, aged 28 and the man who became nothing short of a cult figure due to his defiant status updates on Facebook, has finally been re-captured four months after his break-out.

Lynch was living ever dangerously since he posted a profile picture of himself pointing his middle finger to the camera. While he was busy collecting popularity and adding friends on Facebook, efforts had been on to trace and re-capture him. It is astonishing that an escaped convict from Suffolk, serving a 7 year term for aggravated burglary, managed to get a nearly 40,000+ fan following on Facebook in virtually no time.

A Facebook Page titled – Where is Craig ‘Lazie’ Lynch also became very popular in the Facebook fraternity and called for information to help trace and capture him. Lynch was recaptured in Kent and is due to appear in court later on Wednesday.

I’m pretty sure that Lynch is now heading for an extended term behind the bars and it will be while before he gets access to Facebook again!
